White Chicks

Starring: Shawn Wayans, Marlon Wayans, Jaime King, Lochlyn Munro, John Heard

Studio: Revolution Studios

White Chicks is the newest of the Wayans Bros. comedies, but it's nothing like their previous work.  Most of their previous movies are actually spoofs of other movies, but this one is different.  White Chicks has it's own original story, and while it's not bad, it does lack the slapstick style comedy from their other movies.

Shawn and Marlon Wayans play Kevin and Marcus Copeland (respectively), two FBI agents who seem to always be on the brink of getting fired.  They volunteer for an assignment to escort two rich white girls to the Hamptons for the weekend.  They have information telling that the girls are to be kidnapped, so they are on the lookout to stop it.

On the way to the Hamptons, a small car accident occurs, leaving small bumps and cuts on the faces of the girls.  They refuse to be seen in public like this, but Kevin and Marcus refuse to blow the mission.  At this point, they call in some specialists to transform themselves into white chicks.  (While they were very convincing white women, nobody on earth would mistake them for these rich girls.)

At this point, the movie is basically filled with scenes of Kevin and Marcus trying to blend in as white chicks.  Everyone they run into comments that they look a little different, but nobody realizes that they are big black guys in costume.  (You have to suspend disbelief.)

In any case, there weren't a whole lot of laughs in the movie, but it was still entertaining.  The movie is mostly predictable, and the plot was extremely thin.  It's worth checking out if you've seen everything else, but don't expect it to be classic Wayans material.
