Who
Framed Roger Rabbit set the standard to which all live action/animated movies
should follow. (Unfortunately, none of them follow this standard.)
It's a great movie mixing live action with cartoon characters.
Set in the 1940s, Bob Hoskins plays Eddie Valiant,
a private detective who is investigating the murder of a cartoon mogul.
Roger Rabbit is suspected of the crime, and it's Eddie's job to find out who
framed him. Eddie travels all over Tinseltown (and Toontown) trying to
gain information. Along the way, Judge Doom keeps pointing the finger at
Roger, and causing many problems for Eddie's investigation.
The movie features tons of great interaction
between cartoon characters and real actors. It is done very well, and I
can't understand why current movies can't take a hint from this flick.
There are lots of cartoon cameos from characters that people know and love.
All the studios got involved here, including major ones like Warner Bros and
Disney.
It's a finely crafted piece of work, and great for
anyone to watch, young or old. The story is very solid, and will keep
you interested until the last minute. The cartoon gags keep the fun
flowing, so the kids won't get bored either. Who Framed Roger Rabbit is
a great movie from beginning to end. The two disk Vista Series edition
has LOTS of extras, and goes way beyond the movie. This is a must own
DVD!
