Old School

Starring: Luke Wilson, Will Ferrell, Vince Vaughn

Studio: Dreamworks Home Entertainment

Let's start this one out with a warning.  WARNING:  If you watch Old School, you will see Will Farrell's naked butt.... more than once.  Now, don't get me wrong, I never look forward to those scenes, but they are wildly funny. Farrell plays Frank "The Tank", and with a name like that, you know he's bound to get drunk and naked.  It's a riot.

Now that the Will Farrell thing is out of the way, I'll get on with my review.  Luke Wilson plays a guy named Mitch who catches an early flight home from a seminar to find his wife in bed with another couple,  Needless to say, this puts an end to his marriage, and he starts over.

Mitch buys a new house on a college campus, and with the help of his buddies Frank and Beanie (Vaughn), they start out with a bang by throwing a big party to introduce Mitch to the neighborhood.  After one wild night, a former evil schoolmate (now the Dean) comes to the house and decides that Mitch's new house has been rezoned for school use only.

At this point, Mitch and the gang decide to start a fraternity house, and this is where things really pick up.  They recruit lots of students, throw lots of parties, and have lots of fun.  Of course, the evil dean is always looking for a way to stop the fun, but these guys just won't give up.

Overall, it's a wild movie, with lots of visual humor.  The characters are all fun loving, and it's a good story to the end.  I bought a copy the day it came out, and I've watched it several times since then.  (Just make sure you get the Unrated Edition, not the R-rated one.  If you're going to watch an R-rated movie, you may as well go for extra filth!)  In any case, if you're into fun, this one is for you.

Overall: 10/10
