Gothika

Starring: Halle Berry, Penčlope Cruz, Charles S. Dutton, and Robert Downey, Jr.

Studio: Warner Bros.

If you're looking for a good horror movie, with a supernatural/thriller plot, then this is the movie to see.  It keeps you wondering "why" through the entire movie, up until the very last scene.  Gothika tells the story of a well respected criminal psychologist named Miranda (Halle Berry) who awakens to find herself a patient in her own mental institution.  She has no memory of the murder she has apparently committed.  Miranda soon learns that her husband (Charles S. Dutton) was brutally murdered a few days earlier, and all the evidence is pointing directly at her.

With no memory of that night except for an encounter with a mysterious girl, the doctor's behavior gets out of control.  Her claims of innocence are seen by her friends, employees, and former patients as lies, and they start to become angry. As Miranda struggles to reclaim her sanity, she realizes that she has become a scape goat for a spiritual revenge for a murder.  The mysterious girl soon is revealed to be someone that was a victim, and is now seeking revenge through Miranda.

I feel that this movie was definitely worth seeing.  If you like supernatural thrillers that keep you very suspicious of who did what and why, while staying entertained with Oscar winning actress Halle Berry and Emmy Award winning actor Charles S. Dutton, Gothika is the movie to see.
