Have you ever thought what it would be like to
go back in your lifetime and change an event or person that you have met?
You might have a different opinion to that question after seeing this film.
So when you think of Ashton Kutcher, you
probably think of movies such as Dude, Where's my Car or Just Married.
Well, lose that idea. This movie is far from one if his traditional
comedies. "The Butterfly Effect" told the story of Evan Treborn
(Kutcher), a college student who began to remember memories that he had lost
during blackouts when he was a child. The memories came back to him through
a series of intense flashbacks, which soon led him to discover that he had
the ability to change his past while his mind relives it.
This movie is full of intense suspense that will
keep you "wowed" until the end. As Evan tries to fix ripples in his life
caused by the blackouts, he encounters new problems. It first began with
saving his childhood sweetheart (Gorovaia), and eventually led to saving the
life of his own mother. Each trip back into his past sets up a
suspenseful conflict leading into the future. It's all about trying to
go back and prevent the grizzly consequences of a childhood prank gone
horribly wrong.
Butterfly Effect will surely keep you interested until
the end. I would definitely say that this movie was worth the money to see.
Now that it's out on DVD, there is also a Director's Cut with an alternate
ending and deleted scenes. Believe me, you'll want to watch it twice. Check it out ASAP!
