*Warning:  This review contains a small description of a short scene in the movie, but it’s nothing that would spoil the entire picture.  If you don't want to know ANYTHING, read at your own risk.

American Pie is the story of four high school boys, and their journey into manhood.  …  Sounds good, huh?  Pie has a much simpler story.  It’s a hilarious story about four high school guys trying to get laid.  The movie stars Jason Biggs, as Jim.  Much of the story revolves around Jim, and his sexual escapades (or lack there of).  The movie begins with Jim sitting in his bedroom watching TV.  The channel is scrambled, and he’s obviously looking at porn through all the squiggly lines.  He begins “taking care of business” when his mother walks in, and yells that he’s trying to watch some illegal channels.  To make things worse, his father suddenly walks in, and while trying to cover for Jim’s problem, he removes the pillow masking Jim’s excitement.  His mother is horrified at the site, and the opening credits begin for an interesting journey.

The main plot in the movie follows the boys (Jim, Finch, Oz, Kevin) as they try to score with their girlfriends, while they all experience less than perfect results.  They decide to form a pact that they would all see some action by prom.  From one scene to the next, these guys are all doing crazy things to try and capture the girls’ attention.

While watching the chase, some of the movie’s most memorable moments come because of one man.  This man is Steve Stifler.  Played by Sean William Scott, Stifler is seemed to immediately be the breakout character of the story.  He wasn’t the focus, but he certainly provided a memorable enough appearance to keep people watching.  Many of his scenes resulted in some of the funnier parts in the movie.  Many of the other characters played their parts well, but none of them really added any humor to the flick.

Jim’s search for female companionship leads him to Nadia (Shannon Elizabeth), a foreign exchange student.  It just so happens that she needs help with a class, and Jim is more than willing to tutor.  While things don’t work out as planned with Nadia, the results are hilarious.

Without spoiling any major scenes in the movie, I will simply say this:  If you haven’t already seen American Pie, what are you waiting for?  I suggest running out to your local store and buying the DVD immediately.  The movie doesn’t end exactly as expected, but the finished product is worth watching.  Check it out immediately!
